Our Services

Our Approach to Connecticut Eye Exams

Since 1946, Kennedy & Perkins has been renowned as a provider of fine eyewear, but ever since we started offering eye exams, we’ve never cut corners or made our patients’ experience any less than what we feel they deserve.

Eye Health and Vision Tests

When you come to us for an exam, we’ll start with a thorough review of your eye health history, risk factors, and any symptoms you may be experiencing. Our meticulous optometrists will use advanced diagnostic and imaging technology to check for glaucoma, retinal disease, issues with the corneal surface, neurological disorders, developing cataracts, color deficiency and more — all to ensure that when we generate an updated vision prescription, your eyes are healthy and ready to give you clear vision in your new (or old) eyewear.

Vision Prescriptions

At Kennedy & Perkins, we understand that vision is something more than a few numbers on a piece of paper. We also test depth perception and several other qualities of vision that allow us first to look for signs of changes in your eyes, and also, to make sure you can see clearly when you’re wearing glasses or contacts. Our precise refractions are yet another reason why we stand out as Connecticut’s best.

Glasses and Contact Lenses

Once you have a clean bill of eye health and a prescription in-hand, it’s time to talk about your eyewear needs. We’re the place to go for unique, distinctive eyewear in Connecticut — when it comes to frames and lenses, our team of opticians are able to find the perfect eyewear for your needs and your style.

If contact lenses are more suited to your lifestyle, we will provide you with a thorough contact lens exam and evaluation. The fit and comfort of your lenses affects your quality of vision, which is why we offer some of the top brands on the market.
